ICS Canada is currently developing a series of position specific training courses targeted at eight of the functional positions within an ICS organization. These positions were identified as the priority positions for training by the ICS Canada steering committee and include most of the Command and General Staff positions along with the common supervisory positions within the Operations Section. Each course addresses the roles and responsibilities appropriate to each of the key positions operating on a local or provincial-level Incident Management Team (Type 3). Training is focused around the ability of the student to assume specific position responsibilities, lead assigned personnel, communicate effectively, and to ensure the completion of assigned tasks in order to meet identified objectives for each of the positions.The expected outcomes of the training is to set the ground work for the establishment of

 Incident Management Teams that will be portable and interoperable across Canadian jurisdictions.

NEW!! Beta deliveries for the following courses have been completed and are now available to the AHJs for delivery: 

French translation of the above courses should be completed in 2017.

There will be a new list of courses submitted for consideration in 2017 and we will announce them once funding has been approved.

I-100, I-200, I -300, I-400, I-402 and Awareness Level Train-the-Trainer Training material is available to recognized ICS Canada training providers through download on the "Instructors Only"  tab (password required). The I-100, I-200, I-300, I-400 and I-402 Version Français have also been posted and are available to recognized training providers. The process to become a recognized training provider is outlined in the Standards document.
